Dealerships used to wait for the software industry to catch up with their needs. Increasingly, they’ve stopped waiting.
That’s the premise of “Dealerships take AI into own hands,” the Automotive News story that landed on the front page of its retail technology section in the September 14 edition. It’s a story about a shift in the industry, and it’s one we know from the inside, because it’s how we began.
A problem with no off-the-shelf answer
Our co-founder, Danny Jacobs, was a dealer principal when he hit a familiar wall. His store needed a better way to track inventory and keep its social media marketing running, and nothing on the market did what he wanted.
So he and an employee built it themselves.
That in-house tool went on to debut at the 2026 NADA Show and has since grown into an independent company serving dealerships across the country. As Danny told Automotive News, “We were trying to solve real problems.”
Why the origin matters
That line is more than a good quote. It’s the filter for how we work. The platform was designed around the daily reality of running a dealership: a busy team, a full lot, and social media that matters but rarely gets the attention it deserves. Every feature we add still starts the same way, with conversations with the dealers who use it.
It’s also why the Automotive News piece resonates. When the people closest to the problem build the solution, the result tends to fit the way a dealership actually runs.
A milestone, and a thank-you
Being featured in a publication that dealers across the industry read is a meaningful moment for our team. We’re grateful to Automotive News for telling the story, and to the dealers whose feedback keeps shaping what we build.
